We are writing with regard to Shakkeer Hussain, who we hired as a driver from 28 December 2008 until 12 January 2009. He is an extremely reliable, trustworthy, helpful, and polite individual who made our trip through Kerala and Kanyakumari pleasant and comfortable. We would recommend his service to anyone in the highest possible terms.
In addition to being a careful and skilled driver, he assists us frequently with local information, attractions that might be of interest to us, and even capably recommended lodgings when we found ourselves faced with unacceptable accommodations that had been booked from overseas. He spoke English well, and his additional knowledge of Malaram and Tamil proved to be extremely helpful. In addition, he was attentive to our safety. He made sure that we were picked up promptly, and helped us to select eating establishments that were clean and to our liking. In particular navigating street crossings in India can be challenging to a foreigner; he was watchful and assisted us in crossings safely.
In every sense, he went above and beyond that would be expected. Any time we even casually mentioned something of interest to us, he either knew how to find it, spoke with someone who could help him find it, or researched on his own and came back to us with helpful suggestions. We feel fortunate that our trip was enhanced by having such a professionally capable and personally friendly and pleasant individual. Both of us have traveled extensively in many countries and can say that Shakkeer has provided unparalled service that would be a credit to any agency for which he is employed.
